Esri has successfully combined its NetEngine and ArcIMS technology to provide an enterprise routing solution. The RouteServer is used by a major U.S. insurance company in a Unix/Oracle environment. This year, Esri moved the RouteServer to the Windows NT platform, with the help of the Microsoft Transaction Server. This approach allows the organizations to centralize the data and business objects while allowing users to solve routing problems from the field in an increasingly networked and real-time business environment.
