Description
The workshop I am proposing is an overview of the Public Land Survey System. The topics will include Initial Point, types of measurement (chain), Principal Meridians, base lines, standard parallels, guide meridians, quadrangles, townships, sections, subdivision of sections, government lots, fractional sections, meandering, monuments, the re-establishing of monuments by single and double proportionate measurement, and how grant boundaries and meander lines are re-established.
This workshop is intended for the sub professional (the technician) to give them a better understanding of the PLSS. This will also show the technician that a national conference is a benefit to them. This course is an overview and will be covered in the 4 hour time period.
