UA Students Use HAZUS-Multi Hazard Software

UA Students learn FEMA's HAZUS software. Created by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), HAZUS is a nationally applicable methodology for estimating potential damage, economic loss, and social impacts from disasters. University of Akron Students apply the HAZUS-MH Flood Model to a real world scenario of Canal Fulton, Ohio. Students analyze the data, create a flood potential map, and do a power point presentation of their results.
