This four-hour workshop teaches surveyors the fundamentals of creating a website that accesses and maps survey control data. The following topics will be presented:

Coming to terms: basic concepts and terminology

Building an Amazon Cloud website in 15 minutes for $0

Adding web mapping functionality with Esri's free resources

Making a rich context: mashing up your survey data with other web services (imagery, PLSS data, USGS quad sheets, NGS datasheets, etc.)

At the end of the workshop, participants will understand the basics of website development, and be able to build a simple website referencing their own surveying data and project information.
Workshop materials will include slide handouts and DVDs with additional instructional materials and references.
