The use of Esri's ArcView GIS, ArcView Image Analysis extension, and ArcInfo by the South Florida Water Management District has become crucial in documenting violations that impact the water resources of south Florida (surface waters, wetlands, etc.). Three case study violations that utilized these technologies to assess and document impacts to wetland and upland systems are reviewed in this paper.
