An evaluation of the positional accuracy of airborne GPS supported analytical aerial triangulation.

To produce DEM, DTM, and digital images for use with ArcView GIS, 400 square miles of the County of Boulder, Colorado, was photographed at a scale of 1:24,000 while collecting GPS data on the fly. While more than 70 horizontal and vertical control points were pretargeted, only 10 points were utilized as control for the analytical aerial triangulation of 162 exposures. The positions of the remaining control points were withheld as independent checkpoints.

The project methodology and accuracy results of the 60+ independent checkpoints will be revealed and discussed.
