ArcView 3D Analyst Now Shipping

Powerful Tools for Creating, Analyzing, and Visualizing Geographic Data in 3D on the Desktop

Redlands, California--Esri is now shipping ArcView 3D Analyst, an optional extension for ArcView GIS that brings three-dimensional surface modeling and interactive three-dimensional perspective viewing to the desktop for an affordable price.

By turning your traditional two-dimensional flat maps into dynamic, interactive, three-dimensional displays of your geography, ArcView 3D Analyst lets you take the next big step in geographic data visualization. Designed for both novice and advanced users, 3D Analyst provides a rich suite of tools for interactive perspective viewing of your data in 3D including pan, zoom, rotate, tilt, and fly-through simulation.

ArcView 3D Analyst also brings exceptional 3D analytic capabilities to the desktop. The 3D Analyst provides powerful new capabilities to manipulate and analyze data from a three-dimensional perspective including line-of-sight analysis, spot height interpolation and profiling, volumetric calculations, grid and triangulated irregular network (TIN) creation, and much more.

The 3D Analyst extension provides a seamless link between three-dimensional visualization and GIS data. Users can point at three-dimensional features and retrieve the associated attribute information from the database about the feature. Users can also query features based on information in the database.

More users can take advantage of ArcView 3D Analyst because it is completely customizable through Avenue software, the ArcView GIS object-oriented scripting language. Additional functionality, accessible by Avenue, can be used to satisfy more demanding application requirements.

ArcView 3D Analyst is now available on Windows 95/NT and selected UNIX platforms. For more information or to order ArcView 3D Analyst, please call Esri at 1-800-447-9778 or contact your local Esri office or international distributor.
