By turning your traditional two-dimensional flat maps into dynamic, interactive, three-dimensional displays of your geography, ArcView 3D Analyst lets you take the next big step in geographic data visualization. Designed for both novice and advanced users, 3D Analyst provides a rich suite of tools for interactive perspective viewing of your data in 3D including pan, zoom, rotate, tilt, and fly-through simulation. ArcView 3D Analyst also brings exceptional 3D analytic capabilities to the desktop. The 3D Analyst provides powerful new capabilities to manipulate and analyze data from a three-dimensional perspective including line-of-sight analysis, spot height interpolation and profiling, volumetric calculations, grid and triangulated irregular network (TIN) creation, and much more. The 3D Analyst extension provides a seamless link between three-dimensional visualization and GIS data. Users can point at three-dimensional features and retrieve the associated attribute information from the database about the feature. Users can also query features based on information in the database.
