Abstract
The Integration of Crime Analysis Mapping Software with Legacy Record Management Systems

The integration of crime analysis technology with legacy record management systems is the greatest obstacle facing the public safety user. This paper will address those obstacles and some solutions to resolve them. Topics will include database design, data update frequency, and dynamic data linking. The paper will also address different hardware, software, and network configurations. Training requirements will also be addressed.
