Abstract
City of Logan, Utah--A Project Impact Community

The City of Logan, Utah along with Utah State University and the Utah Water Resources Laboratory is conducting a study looking at dam failure and flooding potential along the Logan River. Elements of the study include formulating different flood scenarios and modeling their potential impact on citizens and the City in terms of life loss and property damage. Using GIS data and technology to model potential flood scenarios, we hope to provide our public safety and emergency management departments with information that will help to minimize loss and better organize evacuation procedures for future flood disasters.
