Property Information and Cadastral GIS of Real Value

Lantmäteriet, in close collaboration with Esri and Leica Geosystems, is developing a new software product for mapping and managing land records.
In Sweden cadastral data and all relevant data concerning real property is handled by computerized systems. This gives easy accessible information related to a number of functions of major importance for the economic life. For banks, insurance companies, city planners, transport companies, forest industry, environmental agencies and many other actors this information is crucial to efficient business.
In most cases the present and even more the future need for GIS applications linked to the property information will be strong and increasing.
