Abstract
MAF/TIGER Modernization
Track: Census

This presentation will describe the Census Bureau's vision for the future modernization of the Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) and Master Address File (MAF) Systems as the Census Bureau moves into the next decade. Included will be discussion of the proposed use of such technologies as Global Positioning System (GPS), imagery, and web-based TIGER update processes and how these can improve the interactions between the Census Bureau and its tribal, state, and local government partners as well as with other partners.
