Overview of several custom applications and the methods used to create them. When requirements require more than 'out-of-the-box' ArcIMS functionality, how programmers (and others) can customize ArcIMS to complete these tasks. Topics include; sending output from queries/selects to a downloadable 'mail merge' formatted file, utilizing the geodatabase in ArcIMS applications, handling complex database queries, and dynamic layers. HTML, ActiveX and ColdFusion sites will be used as examples.
