IC Geonet: A Geography Network for the US Intelligence Community

From super secret to unclassified, geographic information is everywhere inside the secure networks of the US Intelligence Community. What if the answer to the next major national security issue lies hidden within this dispersed trove of data? But, what a massive task to catalog and discover "who has what?" How much easier if each data owner could register their holdings at a central website? Then all intelligence officers could learn who has what geographic information. The National Imagery & Mapping Agency is adapting Esri's www.geographynetwork.com and a pilot website, www.icgeonet.gov, will open for user evaluation on Intelink-TS in late August!
