The JANUS Solution for Hydrographic Information

Hydrographic information is very extensive and is required by almost every nation in the world. It must meet stringent legal and quality requirements. The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) imposes strict standards in the form of the S-57 data structure. To meet these requirements, T-Kartor has developed the JANUS product based on Esri GIS technology in combination with 7C's software. JANUS utilizes the geographic database to create derivative products at various scales for paper charts and also provides quality control especially as it affects the production of S-57 data for ENCs (Electronic Nautical Charts).
