Abstract
County-wide Web-Based GIS Application for Hurricane Debris Management

By utilizing a Web-enabled GIS solution with serverside component processes, the Hurricane Debris Management system was built to serve countywide hurricane emergency reponse. The system combined ArcIMS, ASP, XML, and Visual Basic technologies and supports interactive functionality to allow clients to draw debris areas, obstacles, and import modeling results to compute the amount of debris for different categories.
