AbstractAir Quality Analysis Using ArcView GIS and CAL3QHC Track: Modeling Author(s): Shannon LeRoy Pickett, Charles Danison In the United States, federally funded highway construction projects require air quality analysis to ensure that the carbon monoxide concentrations, resulting from driving and idling vehicles, remain below the National Ambient Air Quality Standards. Commonwealth Technology, Inc., working with the Kentucky Division of Environmental Analysis has created an ArcView extension, using Avenue, that provides an interface to collect, compute, and manage the data necessary to build the input files required by the EPA-approved Engineering Model, CAL3QHC. The extension executes the CAL3QHC model and organizes the model results into tabular format for inserting directly into the Air Quality Baseline Study.
