AbstractUsing GIS in Planning a Regional Water Supply System Track: Water Resources Author(s): Sasho Manasov, Sonja Georgieva Depinova, Branko Kirovski Existing water resources in Macedonia are unevenly distributed in terms of time and space. The West Side is rich in water, but the East Side is meager. The problem in water deficient regions may be solved by transfer of water from west to east. One solution is building a regional water supply system, "Treska." The Treska River gives high-quality water first class. GIS will stimulate project realization through 3D modeling to the relief of the explored space and more thematic contents important for projects (roads, rivers, settlements).
