AbstractLand Use/Land Cover Update 1986 to 1995, Patterns of Change Track: Environment Management Author(s): Lawrence L. Thornton, John M. Tyrawski, Lisa Cotterman The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has completed a State-wide land use/land cover (LULC) update from 1986 to 1995 digital imagery. Delineations and statistics for the state and 20 watershed management areas will be presented. These statistics and maps detail patterns of change in an urbanized East Coast state. The update process is a photointerpretation of 1995 digital imagery (1-meter, CIR) to a minimum polygon unit of one acre, captured as a heads-up edit function in ArcView, to the 1986 LULC delineations. The update project details the status, location, and extent of change in LULC in New Jersey using a modified version of the Anderson et al.classification system. Lawrence L. Thornton BGIA P.O.
