AbstractThe Harvard Geospatial Library: Campus Wide Access to GIS Data Track: Metadata and Data Publishing Author(s): Bonnie A. Burns, David Siegel Geodesy is a system being developed under the auspices of the Harvard University Library Digital Initiative, the Harvard College Library, and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Geodesy uses ArcIMS to provide a searchable catalog of geospatial information resources (e.g., maps, GIS data sets, remotely sensed imagery) held by Harvard libraries. It also includes a centrally managed repository for digital geospatial information and provides an exploratory analysis environment appropriate to Harvard's diverse community of end users. ArcSDE and Oracle are used to manage the repository, and ArcIMS delivers the data to end users who wish to perform more in-depth analysis using the tools of their choice. Bonnie A.
