AbstractIntegration Tool for Infrastructure and Land Use Planning: Atlanta Case Study Track: Water Distribution, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Sharon Leann Wright, Caroline Geneva Brundage, John Richard Evans HDR/WL Jorden, Inc., has provided a GIS Decision Support Framework to the City of Atlanta's Planning and Public Works Departments as a result of a sewer separation project initiated by a consent decree from the EPA to the City of Atlanta. The consent decree involved reduction of untreated wastewater being discharged from the combined sewer overflow plants into the Chattahoochee and South Rivers. The focus of the session will include using GIS as the tool for a land use-based process to coordinate government departments and utilities to plan an infrastructure project. The outcome of the discussion will focus on a GIS Decision Support Framework product.
