Abstract

Paper  Creative Ways to Make Geospatial Data Accessible in Academic Libraries
Track: K-12 Education and Library Science
Author(s): Tsering Wangyal Shawa

This talk is about sharing my knowledge and experience in collecting, managing, and making geospatial data accessible in an academic library environment. The focus of the talk will be on making geospatial data accessible online using various methods such as PERL programming, ArcIMS, Mapserver, and metadata. This talk will be helpful both to librarians who are planning to make their geospatial data accessible online and also to those who are new to a GIS librarian profession.
