AbstractIntegrating Diverse High-Resolution Data into the National Hydrography Dataset Track: Water Resources Author(s): Cynthia L. Moore, Karen Beardsley Willett, James F. Quinn The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), although set up at an initial scale of 1:100,000, was designed so that more detailed hydrography data could be nested into its structure. The Information Center for the Environment at the University of California, Davis, is developing and assessing methods to integrate 44 hydrography quads (all at 1:24,000) in three data formats into the NHD: 23 cartographic feature files (U.S. Forest Service), 13 digitized quads (US Bureau of Reclamation), and 8 digital line graphs (U.S. Geological Survey). We will use AML, most likely based on existing software from the USGS, to process these quads. Cynthia L. Moore University of California, Davis Dept. Envir.
