AbstractDevelopment of a Seamless Multi-Source Topographic/Bathymetric Elevation Model Track: Ocean, Coastal, and Marine Resources Author(s): Dean B. Gesch A seamless topographic/bathymetric elevation model of the Tampa Bay area was derived from multiple sources. Topographic data was extracted from the USGS National Elevation Data Set. Supplemental topographic data was derived from high-resolution airborne LIDAR surveys collected by the University of Florida. The "best available" soundings from NOAA's hydrographic survey database were processed to derive gridded bathymetric data. Prior to merging, all source data was transformed to a common horizontal and vertical reference frame. This paper describes an approach in the ArcInfo environment for combining diverse raster and vector data to generate a hybrid model for applications at the land/water interface. Dean B.
