Abstract
CARTANET: A GIS Internet Application to Access Environmental Information of Regional Government of Madrid
Track: Metadata and Data Publishing

This paper presents the developments that are being carried out in the Environmental Regional Government of Madrid to facilitate to all the citizens the access to the environmental information available in Madrid
through Internet.
The keys of these developments are:
- Cataloguing of all the environmental information available within the
Regional Government.
- Integration between the Geographic Information System and the Document
Management System
- Development of complete search engines that allows to find information in
both ways, from the Geographic Information System and from the Document
Management System.
