Abstract
Applications of IKONOS Stereo Imagery in Geodesy, Cartography, and GIS

IKONOS stereo images are ideal sources for high-accuracy 3D information extraction. The value of this data will be illustrated with case studies in geodesy, cartography, and GIS. Position measurement of a remote Pacific island will illustrate geodetic applications. Terrain extraction will illustrate cartographic extraction. 3D GIS will be shown by extraction of 3D building wire frame models. This presentation will feature 3D color stereo projection for audience viewing of stereo data.
