AbstractMapping of Water Quality Standards to the National Hydrography Dataset Track: Water Resources Author(s): Peter I. Ilieve, Anne Marie Miller, Robert Palmer G. Palmer, Jeanne Jarvaise, Jeffrey J. Bryan, H. William Kramer The EPA Office of Science and Technology in the Office of Water is developing a water quality standards database (WQSDB) that will enable EPA, states, tribes, and the public to view designated uses and criteria for the surface waters of the United States on the Internet. The entire process leading to the development of the EnviroMapper for Office of Water Web-based GIS application is outlined. It highlights the steps and georeferencing tools used in the development of this National Hydrography Dataset (NHD)-based water quality standards mapping component of the EPA's Watershed Assessment and Tracking Environmental Results System (WATERS).
