AbstractUsing GIS and DOQ with Semiparametric Estimation to Value Urban Green Space Track: Ecology, Archaeology, and Conservation Author(s): Chul Sohn, Paikho Rho We use a semiparametric regression to estimate the value of various types of urban green space in Portland, Oregon, using the hedonic property price function. The unique contribution of this research is to estimate the value of urban trees in built-up areas in addition to the other types of green space, such as urban parks and golf courses by using photointerpretation based on DOQ and GIS. The value of the various types of urban green space is estimated semiparametrically, which permits the function to be linear, convex, and concave in different regions.
