AbstractGIS in Lucas County's 2000 Revaluation of Property Track: Cadastral and Land Records Author(s): Scott T. Yoder GIS played an integral role in the 2000 revaluation of property by the Lucas County Auditor's Office. Four of the main processes involved will be looked at. 1. Mapout created individual 8.5" x 11" maps of individual parcels including parcel boundaries, aerial photography, and the street centerlines. 2. Router was used to route appraisers in their daily work. 3. The location program uses polygon coverages of location factors and updates the Oracle tables upon which the valuation models are run. 4. Agricultural values were determined by breaking up the parcels over the orthophotos and intersecting with the soils layer. Scott T.
