The extended geo-object data model supporting telecommunications network documentation encompasses detailed data that describes outside plant equipment, inside plant equipment, schematic representations, and potentially, other aspects needed to adequately manage physical inventory. As a result, the geo-object data model must support a range of views that include not only GIS outside plant management but also diagrammatic and front elevation views to support other disciplines or subdisciplines of network management.
