Abstract
A New Paradigm for Internet MappingTrack: State and Local Government

MapCiti is an Internet data and map publishing ASP service. It was built using ArcIMS, Oracle Spatial and Safe Software's FMEObjects. This talk will describe the service's features and discuss the technical lessons learned developing a multi-user system with ArcIMS. I will also present my view of how this decade will be about integrating Internet-based GIS services and how MapCiti and other existing Internet-based GIS services (such as Esri's Geography Network, NSDI, and Sagent's CentrusOnline) are likely to complement each other and increase the value of existing GIS systems.
