Abstract
Migrating the Enterprise to ArcGIS 8

This paper will discuss the purpose, process, and lessons learned for migrating to an enterprise AM/FM/GIS in the ArcGIS 8 Architecture. We will discuss the background and reasons for the migration, what is involved in the migration and how to go about it, and, of course, lessons we have learned in supporting our clients through this transition. The paper includes the tasks involved in migrating data, extending and customizing ArcMap and ArcFM, and configuring for ArcMap and ArcFM.
