Abstract
ArcGIS 8 Training in an Enterprise Environment
Track: System Implementation for GIS

This paper will describe the experience of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection in creating enterprise-specific training for the ArcGIS 8 suite of applications. We will discuss the challenges of training in a large organization, the limitations of the existing training alternatives, and the platform-specific demands for ArcGIS 8 training. We will demonstrate the custom enterprise-specific training that Maine DEP has developed for their own use and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this approach.
