Abstract
3D Internet GIS Integrating ArcObjects and WildTangent
Track: New Technology and Technology Integration

The goal of this paper is to present an application developed using ArcObjects (ArcGIS 8.x) and WildTangent 3D Web technology to deliver a true Internet-based interactive spatial platform for visualization and analysis. The first application developed using this approach concerns extending the epidemiologic 3D GIS analysis pertaining to the Oklahoma City bombing. The benefit to epidemiologists and other researchers is that given the distributive nature of the Internet, experts in other disciplines (structural engineering, architecture, medicine) can lend their expertise to create a more robust understanding. Other applications using this approach will be discussed as well.
