Distributed systems incorporating the EQuIS data management system, ArcView GIS, and a multitude of environmental analytic applications have allowed state and federal government agencies to achieve new heights in the analysis of environmental contamination problems. With the advent of ArcSDE and enterprise-level solutions, regional analyses are now possible. These factors have led to a new level of data sharing within and among regulatory agencies in the United States.
