Abstract
ArcView 3D Analyst for DEM
Track: Cartography and Map Production

This paper presents calculation results of GTOPO30. GTOPO30 is a global digital elevation model (DEM) resulting from the U.S. Geological Survey's EROS Data Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The project is focused on DEM resolution and how to use it using ArcView 3D Analyst. In this project we have chosen some sites in Colorado, United States, and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, by research area. Using ArcView 3D Analyst, we have created some three-dimensional visualizations of the GTOPO30 data and compared these with real data of topography.
