With the introduction of a new ArcView extension called Community Viz, planners in Ontario County are analyzing the potential impacts of a sewer extension into the Town of Seneca. This extension can have a profound impact on the historically significant Route 5 and 20 regional transportation corridors. Community Viz is allowing the Ontario County Planning & Research Department and the towns of Seneca and Geneva to model alternative land use development scenarios and their varying demands for sewage transmission and treatment facilities. It will also assist in identifying areas not suitable for development based on environmental constraints.
