Abstract
Implementing the UNETRANS Data ModelTrack: Transportation and Logistics

The UNETRANS process has developed a draft data model for the transportation industry. This presentation describes how the model can be implemented to support roadway asset management. The implementation incorporates components from Esri ArcGIS software and highways by exor software. It is intended to demonstrate how the Esri transportation model can be used to support real-world road networks, linear referencing systems, and asset databases. Implementation issues and lessons learned are also discussed.
