AbstractDistributing Population and Employment Forecasts with LUFAM Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Craig Batstone Canin Associates has developed a MapObjects Software-based application that also uses ArcInfo for distributing population and employment forecast data. The Land Use Forecast Allocation Model (LUFAM) has been developed for local and regional governments in an effort to provide them with a standard process for distributing population and employment forecasts to the parcel level. Distributing the forecast data to the parcel level allows the end user to aggregate forecast totals up to any desired level of geography. The distribution of forecast data is controlled through the analysis of existing development, developable land, developable land suitability ranking, and development factors.
