Abstract
Agrobusiness Future Market Assessment

To increase the competitivenss of one of the largest Brazilian agroindustries, it a project was developed that included 150,000 km2 orthophoto production, 110,000 production block delimitation, and database creation. To make this 1.5 TB database available to the field technicians, a process was created to make the download of a predefined area of orthophotos, blocks, and associated data into an Esri ARCPad installed on a handheld computer. A GPS was connected to allow field collection of points, polygons, and routes. A specific data form at was designed to improve accuracy and provide updated information for planning and future market assessment.
