This paper introduces an areal examination and reception system implemented for the customers of an ISP. GIS technologies enable the ISP to analyse the spatial relationaship between a customer and the electric wave range from an antenna, in order to evaluate whether communication services can be provided to a customer. The client-server system is built under the combination of ArcView 3.2, ArcSDE, and Visual Basic. ArcSDE stores the basemap and location data for customers and the antenas.
